Nintendo Switch Sales End in Europe in 2027
Nintendo will stop supplying new units of the Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED Model to retailers across europe starting in mid-February 2027.
This does not mean the consoles will instantly disappear from shelves, but it does mark the end of official distribution, with availability afterward depending entirely on remaining store stock.
Nintendo says the three systems will remain in production till the end of 2026 and should be widely available across Europe for the rest of the year. The company has not announced an exact date in February.
The February 2027 change stops Nintendo from supplying more hardware to retailers. Stores may still have units already in inventory after that point, so availability and pricing will depend on local stock. Nintendo has told shoppers to check with local retailers for updates.
The original system launched in March 2017. As of March 31, 2026, the full hardware family had sold 155.92 million units worldwide, with 1.528 billion software sales.
Nintendo’s announcement covers a listed group of Nintendo of Europe territories, including the United Kingdom, rather than a global end date for the 2017 hardware. Existing games, accessories, digital purchases, and online services remain available after the sales cutoff.
