Nintendo Switch 2 Price Is Now $499.99 in the U.S.

The $499.99 Switch 2 Price Is Now in Effect

Eventide Gaming warned on August 30 that the price increase was about 32 hours away. September 1 has now arrived, which means the announced increase is no longer upcoming.

Nintendo raised the standard Switch 2 MSRP by $50, taking the system from $449.99 to $499.99. Nintendo has not publicly blamed one specific cost, such as tariffs, memory, or storage. Its official announcement only points to wider changes in market conditions.

The price change also does not apply to the original Nintendo Switch system under this announcement. Nintendo says pricing for that system is staying the same.

Two New Switch 2 Bundles Arrive This Fall

Nintendo also has two new U.S. Switch 2 bundles on the way that use the console’s higher price as their starting point.

• Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World: $549.99, arriving in late September with the full digital game and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. Nintendo says the bundle saves $37.98 compared with buying everything separately.
• Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort: $529.99, launching October 22 with the full digital game and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. Nintendo says the bundle saves $27.98 compared with separate purchases.

The bundles cost more than the standard system, but gamers planning to buy either included game also get the Nintendo Switch Online membership as part of the package.
