Comments

When visitors leave comments, we may collect the information shown in the comment form, the visitor’s IP address, browser user-agent information, and information needed to prevent spam and maintain site security.

If Gravatar is enabled, a hashed version of your email address may be sent to Automattic’s Gravatar service to check whether you use that service. After approval, your profile image may be publicly visible beside your comment.

Comments and their metadata may be retained indefinitely so that we can recognize and approve follow-up comments and maintain the public conversation.

Contact Forms

When you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, message, IP address, browser information, and anti-spam signals. We use this information to respond to you, provide support, investigate reported problems, and protect the site from spam or abuse.

Contact-form submissions are not used to subscribe you to a newsletter unless you separately choose to subscribe.

We retain contact-form submissions only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve an issue, maintain security records, or meet legal obligations. Copies may remain in backups for a limited period before those backups are overwritten.

Polls, Quizzes, Ratings, and Interactive Features

When you vote in a poll, submit a quiz response, leave a rating, or use another interactive feature, we may collect your response, IP address, browser information, cookie identifiers, and anti-spam signals.

We use this information to display results, prevent duplicate submissions, identify abuse, protect the integrity of site features, and improve future content.

We retain this information only as long as needed for the feature, abuse prevention, security, reporting, or legal obligations. We may aggregate or anonymize information where reasonably possible.

Newsletter Subscriptions

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we may collect your email address, name if provided, subscription preferences, IP address, signup source, email opens, and link clicks.

We use this information to send the newsletter, deliver requested updates, understand newsletter performance, prevent abuse, and maintain unsubscribe preferences.

Our newsletter may be managed through Beehiiv, Jetpack, or another email service shown at the point of signup. That provider may process your subscription information and engagement data on our behalf.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email. We may retain limited suppression information after you unsubscribe so we can honor your opt-out request.

Payments and Donations

If Eventide Gaming accepts a donation, payment, membership contribution, or other transaction, payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another payment provider shown during checkout.

Payment providers process payment-card information directly. Eventide Gaming does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. We may receive transaction details such as your name, email address, donation amount, currency, billing country, transaction status, and payment reference.

We use this information to process the transaction, provide confirmation, prevent fraud, maintain financial records, and meet legal obligations.
