Instagram’s Apple TV app brings Reels to the living room

Apple TV owners running tvOS 26.0 or later can download Instagram, whose TV description lists Reels, longer videos, live shows, and viewing that continues across screens. MacRumors reports that the TV release metadata dates the app to October 23; its report appeared just after midnight Eastern today. The app expands Instagram’s television access, but the listing does not promise every feature of the phone app. Check your Apple TV’s software version before looking for the download.

Gaming: Today on Eventide

  • Back up your GOG library. Today’s GOG guide walks through saving complete Windows offline installers, including companion data files and separately supplied DLC. Keep your saves as a separate backup. An installer preserves the downloaded game version, and it does not replace servers needed by online features.
  • Read a preview’s label carefully. Our development explainer separates prototypes that test ideas, vertical slices that test production, and demos made for an audience. A polished short section can show the intended experience without proving the rest of a game is nearly finished.
  • Look for the story inside the room. Our environmental storytelling feature examines how Gone Home, Tacoma, and Firewatch use spaces and objects alongside other narrative tools. On your next visit to a game, notice what has been moved, damaged, or left behind before following the objective marker.
