Apple’s September event had a lot of news. Still, six changes stood out: Siri AI, stronger iPhone cameras, longer battery life, the iPhone Duo foldable design, Apple Watch health tools, and AirPods 5 audio features.

Siri AI gets more personal

Apple says Siri AI can use personal context from messages, email, photos, and on-screen content to help with requests. Apple’s wider plan is explained in our Apple intelligent personal hub guide.

The iPhone 18 Pro lineup improves cameras and battery life

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max use the A20 Pro chip, a new cooling system, and a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture. Apple says eSIM-only models can reach up to 36 hours of video playback on iPhone 18 Pro and up to 45 hours on iPhone 18 Pro Max. Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro announcement confirms the phones arrive September 18.

iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable

The iPhone Duo has a 7.6-inch inner display when open and a 5.4-inch outer display when closed. The phone supports two apps side by side and starts at $1,999 in the U.S. Apple will take pre-orders on October 16, with availability beginning October 23. Our iPhone Duo announcement recap has more on the foldable design.

Apple Watch adds health tools

Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 add the Health Sensing System and a readiness score. The score uses activity, vital readings, and sleep information to help users decide whether to rest, take it easy, or push harder. The Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $399, while the Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at $799 and can track outdoor workouts for up to 45 hours.

AirPods 5 brings better noise control

AirPods 5 add Active Noise Cancellation to Apple’s open-ear AirPods design. Apple says the new model removes up to 50 percent more outside noise than AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation. AirPods 5 start at $129, while a $149 model adds a wireless charging case and volume controls.

Apple’s event showed how the company is tying new hardware to AI, health, cameras, audio, and longer-lasting devices.
