Nintendo has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will cost £419.99 in the United Kingdom from September 1, 2026. The console currently costs £395.99, making the new price £24 higher.

The confirmed figure fills in the UK detail from Nintendo’s wider price revision. IGN reported that the change will apply at the start of September, giving UK shoppers until August 31 to buy the system at its current recommended price.

UK Switch 2 Price Change Starts September 1

The standard Switch 2 price will move from £395.99 to £419.99. Nintendo has not announced a new UK version of the console or any hardware changes alongside the increase.

Retailers may still price the console differently, but Nintendo’s revised recommended price takes effect on September 1.

The U.S. Price Is Already Confirmed

The UK announcement also lines up with Nintendo’s September pricing changes in other markets. Nintendo has already confirmed that the Switch 2 will rise from $449.99 to $499.99 in the United States on September 1.

For U.S. gamers, the UK confirmation is not a new indication of a possible increase. It matches an American price change Nintendo has already set for the same date.
