Sonos Launches Ace Ultra, Beam Ultra, and Sonos 27
Sonos has announced the new Sonos Ace Ultra headphones, Beam Ultra soundbar, and Sonos 27 software.
Sonos Ace Ultra adds deeper Sonos integration
Sonos says Ace Ultra uses a new driver and next-gen Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation. The headphones also connect more directly with the Sonos system.
Sonos is also adding headphone linking in Early Access. The feature can pull audio already playing on a compatible Sonos product to Ace Ultra over a local Wi-Fi network.
Beam Ultra brings 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos
Beam Ultra keeps the compact size of the Beam line while moving to 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos. The soundbar also includes AI Speech Enhancement, HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6, Trueplay, and Apple AirPlay 2.
The Beam Ultra costs $699 in the U.S. Sonos is taking preorders now, with shipping expected to start September 29, 2026.
Sonos 27 is the new software platform
Sonos is also introducing Sonos 27, the next version of its audio operating system. The update expands the company’s software platform with AI control and new ways to move audio around the home.
The new hardware and Sonos 27 put the company’s headphones, home theater products, and whole-home audio under a more connected system.
