First Impressions

The new iPhone 18 Pro Max is a beautiful, bluer blue. Like My Gosh! Its Gorgeous!

The iPhone 17 is a dark, borderline navy blue. In darker environments, it can almost look black, But this new phone is a really nice shade of sky blue. There’s no mistaking the color in any environment.

It also feels a little heavier and denser than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The extra weight does make the phone feel more substantial.

The biggest problem was setting it up. The phone-to-phone via cable transfer would not work, so I had to erase the phone three times. I took it out of the box around noon, but it was not fully set up until about 3 p.m., and then I had to wait until like 8 p.m. for the iCloud restore to completely complete.

I eventually had to manually back up the 17 (It was outdated) to iCloud and restored that backup onto the new phone.

I thought transferring directly from one phone to the other would be faster, but APPARENTLY NOT!!!! Trying something new led to almost three hours of useless.

After everything was finally set up, the phone felt like my iPhone 17 Pro Max in a lighter bluer blue.

The color is the biggest difference so far, while the overall phone feels very familiar.

Normally I would start testing, but Siri AI is still “Optimizing Search and Siri” and I know that’s eating up my luxurious, designer, rare, and expensive RAM
