Siri AI is becoming more personal

Apple says Siri AI can use personal context from messages, email, photos, and content already on screen to help with a request. The new assistant is rolling out in beta with iOS 27 on September 14 for supported devices set to English. More language support is expected in October, and feature availability can vary by region.

iPhone 18 Pro gets stronger cameras and battery life

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max use the A20 Pro chip and a new vapor chamber that helps the phone manage heat during demanding tasks. Apple also added a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, which gives users more control over light and background blur.

Apple says eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro models can reach up to 36 hours of video playback. The iPhone 18 Pro Max can reach up to 45 hours. The Pro models start at $1,199 and $1,299 in the U.S., with availability beginning September 18.

iPhone Duo gives Apple its first foldable design

The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The phone has a 7.6-inch inner display when open and a 5.4-inch outer display when closed. The larger screen supports Split View for two apps side by side, along with saved app pairs and two windows from the same app.

Apple says the iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 in the U.S. Pre-orders begin October 16, and the phone arrives October 23.

Apple Watch adds health and readiness tools

Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 add the new Health Sensing System and a readiness score. The score uses recent activity, vital readings, and sleep information to help users decide whether to rest, take it easy, or push harder.

Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $399. Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at $799 and can track outdoor workouts for up to 45 hours. Both watches arrive September 18.

AirPods 5 add better noise control

AirPods 5 bring Active Noise Cancellation to Apple’s open-ear AirPods. Apple says the new model removes up to 50 percent more outside noise than AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation.

AirPods 5 start at $129. A $149 version adds a wireless charging case, longer battery life, and volume controls on the stem. Both versions support hands-free Siri AI and Live Translation for supported languages.
