Apple’s Latest Operating Systems Come Out Today
Apple’s latest operating systems start rolling out today, September 14. Apple says iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27 are available starting today, bringing new Siri AI features, design changes, performance improvements, and platform-specific upgrades across Apple’s devices.
Apple has confirmed the date, but it has not published an exact release time. Based on Apple’s usual major software rollout schedule, the updates are expected to begin appearing around 10:00 a.m. Pacific / 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

Apple Intelligence and Siri AI have stricter hardware requirements than iOS 27 itself. Apple says those AI features require iPhone 16 models or later, or iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Apple Intelligence requires an iPad with M1 or later or the iPad mini with A17 Pro, so some iPads that can install iPadOS 27 will not receive every AI feature.

Apple Intelligence and Siri AI are supported on Apple Vision Pro, although feature availability can still vary by language and region.
What About tvOS 27?
tvOS 27 is also part of Apple’s latest software generation. Apple’s developer documentation lists tvOS 27 alongside iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. Apple’s main OS release page specifically lists the other five platforms as available starting September 14, so tvOS 27 is worth checking separately on Apple TV rather than assuming it will appear at the exact same time.
Apple has not published the same consumer-focused five-feature breakdown for tvOS 27 that it provides for the other operating systems above, so this article does not invent a top-five list for Apple TV.

Compatibility with the operating system does not mean every feature will work on every device. Apple Intelligence and Siri AI have stricter hardware requirements on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, while some features also depend on region or language.
