Xbox Game Pass September 2026: What’s Coming and Leaving

Xbox Game Pass has a busy first half of September. Xbox says its first September 2026 wave adds games through September 15, while 10 titles leave the service that same day. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War joins on September 8, and RuneScape: Dragonwilds arrives on September 15. Gamers who are partway through Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells, or another departing game have until September 15 before access through Game Pass ends.

10 games leave on September 15

Game Pass members lose access to 10 games on September 15 unless they own them separately. Xbox names the departing games in the same September update.

• Commandos: Origins
• Cricket 24
• Cyberpunk 2077
• Dead Cells
• Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor
• Frostpunk 2
• Mullet MadJack
• Spiritfarer
• Superliminal
• Train Sim World 5

Xbox says members can save up to 20% when buying games before they leave the library. Anyone trying to finish one of the departing games should check the store price before September 15 if they want to keep playing after it leaves Game Pass.

A few more Game Pass updates are coming

TCG Card Shop Simulator reaches version 1.0 on September 15 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld, and PC. EA Play members also get a 10-hour early access trial for EA Sports NHL 27 on console starting September 4. Xbox says progress from the NHL 27 trial carries into the full game if a player buys it later.

Game Pass libraries can vary by plan, platform, and region, so gamers should check the current catalog before downloading or buying a game.
