Which Games Need Game Pass?
Xbox says Borderlands 4, F1 25 2026 Season Edition, Surviving Mars: Relaunched, and CarX Drift Racing Online are available to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members. You need one of those memberships for their Free Play Days access.
How to Download the Free Play Days Games
Xbox says gamers can open each game’s page on Xbox.com and sign in to install it through the Microsoft Store. On your Xbox console, open the Store, choose the Subscriptions tab, and find the Free Play Days collection.
If you buy an eligible game after the event, you can keep the Gamerscore and achievements earned during Free Play Days. Xbox also says some participating games have limited-time discounts, although prices and availability can vary by title and region.
The lineup ends Sunday, September 13. If you want to try one of the larger games, start the download before the weekend gets too far along.
