Warzone Mobile Gets Final Shutdown Date

Activision announced that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will shut down on April 17, 2026. After this date, the game will no longer be playable. Players can continue to access all content and features until the servers go offline.

The company confirmed that refunds will not be given for unused COD Points or purchased items. Players are encouraged to spend their remaining currency and use their content before the shutdown date.

Activision suggests players move to Call of Duty: Mobile, which is free-to-play. This game offers Battle Royale, Multiplayer, Zombies, and the extraction-based DMZ: Recon mode. It also includes seasonal updates, Ranked Play, Events, and Battle Pass rewards. Players are also directed to Call of Duty: Warzone on PC and consoles, which will continue to be free-to-play.

Activision previously said in May 2025 that Warzone Mobile did not meet expectations. The decision to end support is due to the game’s underperformance with mobile players.

Warzone Mobile launched in March 2024 for iOS and Android. It featured 120-player battle royale matches and supported cross-progression with Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Black Ops 6. Despite its integration with the main series, it struggled to attract mobile-first players.

IGN gave the game a score of 8 out of 10, calling it a meaningful extension of the Warzone experience and praising its streamlined matches and cross-progression.
