I just stumbled upon a setting in Controller and accessories, “Swap Ⓐ , and Ⓑ” the settings state “Changes Ⓐ presses into Ⓑ inputs and Ⓑ presses into Ⓐ inputs for each controller you use. (Only affects controllers with those buttons.)”

Now, pressing the Ⓑ” button confirms, and the Ⓐ button goes back, just like on Xbox and PlayStation. My hands finally do what my brain expects.

…But

The UI doesn’t Change 😞

Here’s the weird part: the system menus still show Ⓐ for OK and Ⓑ for cancel, even after the remap. Whis is so CONFUSING……….. REALLY NINTENDO?

So while your buttons act like Xbox or PlayStation, the UI still shows the default Nintendo layout. It’s a little jarring at first, and I wish Nintendo updated the UI system-wide when button mapping is changed.

Still, the fix was worth it and has potential.

I can’t lie, I disabled it as soon as I realized that…

Do you think Nintendo will update this feature in the future?
