The Sims 4 September Update Makes Sims Smarter and Fixes Crashes
The Sims 4 has a new quality-of-life update that improves Sim autonomy and fixes several causes of game crashes.
Sims should make better choices on their own
EA says the September 22 update makes dozens of changes to Sim autonomy. Autonomy controls the actions Sims choose without direct player commands.
Sims should now behave more naturally during everyday tasks. EA specifically says Sims can make better eye contact during conversations and should be more likely to wash their hands in the bathroom sink instead of walking to a kitchen sink.
The update also adjusts relationship autonomy for the Lovestruck and Growing Together expansion packs. EA says Family Dynamics and Romantic Satisfaction should now behave more in line with player expectations.
The update also targets crashes
EA says the same patch addresses several leading causes of crashes to improve game stability.
The PC version is now 1.128.90.1030, the Mac version is 1.128.90.1230, and consoles are on version 2.39. Players who have had unusual Sim behavior or stability problems should make sure the September 22 update is installed before troubleshooting further.
