The Sims 4 September Update Improves Sim Autonomy and Fixes Crashes
The Sims 4 has a new update that helps Sims make better choices on their own and fixes several causes of crashes.
Sims should make better choices on their own
EA says the September 22 update makes dozens of changes to Sim autonomy. Autonomy controls what Sims do without direct commands from gamers.
EA says Sims can make better eye contact during conversations. They should also be more likely to wash their hands in the bathroom sink instead of walking to a kitchen sink.
The update adjusts relationship autonomy in the Lovestruck and Growing Together expansion packs. EA says Family Dynamics and Romantic Satisfaction should now work more in line with what gamers expect.
The update also fixes crashes
EA says the patch addresses several leading causes of crashes to improve game stability.
The September 22 update brings each platform to a different version:
- PC: 1.128.90.1030
- Mac: 1.128.90.1230
- Consoles: 2.39
Gamers dealing with unusual Sim behavior or crashes should make sure the update is installed before troubleshooting further.
