Apple’s $250M Siri settlement moves forward with up to $95 per iPhone
Apple’s $250 million class action settlement over delayed Siri and Apple Intelligence features has received preliminary court approval, opening the door for affected iPhone owners to claim compensation. The settlement stems from allegations that Apple marketed advanced AI capabilities for iPhone models announced at WWDC 2024 that were delayed or unavailable at launch.
Settlement overview
A judge granted preliminary approval to Apple’s proposal after a July 8, 2026, hearing. This approval allows the settlement process to move forward, with Apple admitting no wrongdoing. The company said it chose to settle to focus on delivering products and services to its customers.
Who can claim
The eligible class includes anyone who purchased an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible devices include:
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 16e
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
Payout details
From the $250 million settlement, legal and administrative fees will be deducted first. Remaining funds will be distributed to claimants:
- Estimated $25 per eligible device
- Maximum payout up to $95 per device if fewer claims are filed
How to claim
Formal claim submissions will open after notices are sent, expected by August 31, 2026. Claimants must provide proof of purchase, such as a device serial number, and Apple Account details. Verita Global, the Settlement Administrator, will host the online claim portal.
Final payout approval is scheduled for September 29, 2027, with payments issued at least 60 days afterward
