Apple Extends Holiday Returns to January 8, 2027
Apple Store Online orders placed from November 6 through December 25, 2026 can be returned through January 8, 2027, 9to5Mac reports.
The longer window applies to all Apple products. It gives gift buyers extra time, since a standard 14-day return period can end before the gift is opened.
Apple Holiday Return Dates
| Order Date | Return Deadline |
| November 6 to December 25, 2026 | January 8, 2027 |
| After December 25, 2026 | Standard return policy (usually 14 days) |
Apple says all other terms of its Sales and Refunds Policy still apply. The report doesn’t describe the return steps, so check Apple’s returns page before sending anything back.
Carrier-Financed Devices
Some phones and tablets don’t get the longer window. These carrier-financed devices follow the standard return policy:
- iPhone financed through T-Mobile or Verizon
- iPad financed through Verizon
Items You Can’t Return
Several items are not returnable at all, even during the holiday window:
- Opened software and electronic software downloads
- Software Up-to-Date program products (upgrades)
- Apple Gift Cards
- Apple Developer products, including memberships, technical support incidents, and WWDC tickets
Gamers picking up the new iPad mini, which goes on sale November 6, are covered if they order straight from Apple. Will the longer return window change when you buy your holiday gifts?
