Overwatch 2 Season 11: New Heroes, Maps, and Challenges

Overwatch 2 Patch Notes (June 20, 2024): Season 11 adds Mythic Ashe, Pink Mercy’s return, new bundles, hero updates (D.Va, Junker Queen, Cassidy), a new Runasapi map, improved competitive play, and bug fixes.


General Updates

  • Collision Knockdown: Knockdown time when two charging abilities collide is reduced from 2 to 1.7 seconds. This means players will get back into action faster after a charge collision.

Tank Updates

D.Va:

  • Fusion Cannons: The weapon spread reduced from 3.75 to 3.375 degrees, making it easier to hit smaller targets.

  • Boosters: Impact damage increased from 15 to 25.

Junker Queen:

  • Jagged Blade: Now pulls tanks further.

  • Rampage: Startup time reduced from 0.75 to 0.5 seconds.

Orisa:

  • Javelin Spin: Cooldown reduced from 9 to 8 seconds, improving her survivability.

Roadhog:

  • Base Health: Reduced from 650 to 600.

  • Take a Breather: Damage reduction reduced from 50% to 40%.

Damage Updates

Cassidy:

  • Peacekeeper: Secondary fire “Fan the Hammer” damage reduced from 50 to 45.

  • Combat Roll: Damage reduction reduced from 75% to 50%.

  • Flashbang: Replaces Magnetic Grenade. Now, it hinders enemies instead of stunning them for 1.2 seconds. Movement speed reduction increased from 30% to 50%. Hinder prevents crouching movement—45 explosive damage with a 12-second cooldown.

  • Deadeye: Movement speed penalty now scales down from 70% to 35%. Damage reduction scales down from 40% to 0%.

Mei:

  • Endothermic Blaster: Secondary fire base projectile size reduced from 0.15 to 0.12 meters. Secondary fire damage increased from 75 to 85.

Reaper:

  • Hellfire Shotguns: Weapon spread reduced from 6.5 to 6 degrees.

  • Shadow Step: Cast time reduced from 1.5 to 1.2 seconds.

Sojourn:

  • Railgun: Secondary fire damage scaling reduced from 30-130 to 1-100. Secondary fire projectile no longer requires Overclock to pierce enemies. Primary fire shots per second increased from 14 to 16.

  • Overclock: Energy charge rate increased from 100 to 120 per second.

Symmetra:

  • Base Health: Increased from 100 to 125 (Total health now 275).

  • Photon Projector: Primary fire charge rate increased by 25%.

Support Updates

Illari:

  • Outburst: Damage increased from 10 to 25.

  • Healing Pylon: Healing per projectile increased from 30 to 40. Pylon healing is now only half as effective when targeting Illari herself. Max health increased from 100 to 125.

Kiriko:

  • Swift Step: Cooldown increased from 7 to 8 seconds.

  • Protection Suzu: No longer cleanses hard knockdown stuns.

Game Changes

Season 11: Super Mega Ultrawatch

  • New Mythic Style: Battle against Mythic Calamity Empress Ashe and B.O.B. Unlock and customize Ashe’s dark mage style.

  • Pink Mercy Returns: Celebrate 100 million players with the return of Pink Mercy and a new Rose Gold Mercy Bundle. From June 25 to July 8, 2024, all proceeds (excluding platform fees and taxes) from the bundle will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

  • Aztec Sombra Bundle: Unlock through challenges and enjoy a new Community Crafted mode designed by popular streamers.

Community Crafted Mode

  • Enjoy fun and creative changes designed by your favorite content creators, such as Emongg, Custa, TQQ, and Eskay.

  • Experience unique hero abilities such as Baptiste sharing his kit with Ana and Reaper’s Wraith Form getting an extra sting.

Hero Mastery Updates

  • New Courses: Sharpen your skills with Hero Mastery courses for Kiriko and Soldier: 76.

  • Limited-Time Event: From June 20 to July 9, participate in new challenges and earn up to 22,500 Battle Pass XP.

  • Gauntlet Co-op: The Hero Mastery Gauntlet Co-op has been removed.

New Map: Runasapi

  • Explore the new Push map, Runasapi, which is set high in the Peruvian Andes.

  • Navigate through vibrant marketplaces and visit the Inti Warrior Historical Museum and Monument.

  • Escort TS-1 through narrow streets, and be careful of the cliffs.

Challenge Updates

  • Weekly Challenge Catch-Up: Complete any past weekly challenges at any time within the season. Incomplete challenges gain additional copies each week.

  • Weekly Milestones: Complete Weekly Milestones by progressing through other weekly challenges. All past milestones can be completed within the season.

Competitive Play Updates

  • Rank Percentage: Now displayed on the Competitive Progress page.

  • Modifiers Renamed: “Win Streak” and “Loss Streak” are now “Win Trend” and “Loss Trend.”

  • Matchmaking: Improved parameters for handling wide groups, ensuring better queue times.

  • Scoreboard Button: A button was added to view the match’s final scoreboard during the end-of-game flow.

Map Updates

Colosseo:

  • Removed glass and added stairs at the first checkpoint for more pathing and combat opportunities.

  • Extended the map with a new lowered section and mega health pack behind the second checkpoint for flanking strategies.

  • A new route through a building that connects the spawn/final point to the second checkpoint was added.

  • Pulled back the initial spawn building to give players more room to navigate.

  • Adjusted stairs and cover around the final point to improve flow and defense.

Push Maps:

  • Reduced match time from 10 minutes to 8 minutes in Quick Play.

  • Increased push robot speed by 10% when pushing the barricade in both Quick Play and Competitive.

Bug Fixes

Maps:

  • Numbani: Fixed pieces of the environment that allowed abilities to pass through.

  • New Junk City: Fixed lighting in some areas.

  • Hollywood: Fixed areas that could cause players to get temporarily stuck.

Heroes:

  • Junker Queen: Fixed a bug with Commanding Shout playing audio again when using a Teleporter.

  • Reinhardt: Charge now correctly damages Ice Wall and Tree of Life.

  • Venture: Fixed bugs allowing Venture to stay burrowed indefinitely and fixed the description of Drill Dash to match its functionality.

  • Zarya: Fixed an issue where a Particle Shielded Zarya on a Teleporter could prevent teammates from using it.
