Dbrand has just unleashed a bold new release: a Zelda-inspired theme skin for the Nintendo Switch OLED, taking a direct shot at Nintendo's legal team. This $50 skin is designed to transform your Switch OLED into the much-coveted $359 Nintendo Switch OLED Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition. But there's a twist.

At first glance, the "Clone of the Kingdom" skin might seem like a straightforward imitation. But look closer, and you'll spot the clever alterations Dbrand has made. Instead of the iconic Triforce, they've swapped in the Eye of Providence—a symbol famously linked to conspiracy theories and the Illuminati. (👀) And if you decode one of the hidden runes, it reads, "Go f!@# yourself, lawyers." There are more secret messages, but we won't spoil the other two for you—know they're just as provocative. Unlike their previous "Animal Crossing" designs that closely mimicked hard-to-find limited-edition Switches this skin is all about making a statement—a rebellious, edgy one.

If you've been keeping up with Nintendo's crackdown on the Switch emulation scene, you'll likely understand Dbrand's motivation here. This skin is a direct response to Nintendo's legal actions—a way for Switch owners to express their frustration and push back. So, if you've been feeling upset about Nintendo's recent moves, this skin might be the perfect way to let your Switch OLED speak for you.

Before you rush to order, though, there's a catch. The "Clone of the Kingdom" skin is only compatible with the Switch OLED. It won't work with the original Switch or the Switch Lite. We know it could be more pleasant for those with other models, but Dbrand had to draw the line somewhere. The skin features a matte laminate layer on the Joy-Cons and front of the console. Still, on the back, you'll notice a subtle difference in texture with a concentric hexagonal pattern. This is Dbrand's attempt to mimic the finish on the rear of the actual Tears of the Kingdom Switch.

You might be curious about the Eye of Providence in the design and its ties to conspiracy theories. But honestly, it's not a new symbol—it's even on the US dollar. So, what's the big deal? Dbrand seems pretty relaxed about it, reminding everyone that the eye has a long history and doesn't automatically imply anything sinister. It's just a detail that adds some mystery to the overall look.

Of course, with such a controversial design, there's always a chance Nintendo could take legal action. When asked about this, Dbrand's CEO, Adam Ijaz, gave a playful reply, saying they're not revealing their backup plan just yet. Dbrand is prepared to face whatever comes their way, keeping everyone guessing.

Oh, and they've also made a $50 "Clone of the Kingdom" skin for the Steam Deck.

Are you ready to give your Switch OLED a bold new look, or will you stick with the original design?

Also they created a “Clone of The Kindom“ skin for the Steam Deck as well for $50
